This artist was born in Avignon in 1843. He was the brother and pupil of Pierre Grivolas who painted genre and portraits, principally in watercolour.



Antoine specialised in flower and landscape subjects and he first exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1877. He obtained an honourable mention in 1884. The museum at Niort has a work entitled Un Coin de Parc Montsouris and a painting entitled Jardin de l'Observatoire, Fleurs came on the art market on March 18 1925.



Grivolas died at Vallauris in 1902.
